Layers and Layers…
All of my artworks begin with a watercolor background. I like watercolor for the nuanced gradients it creates. Then, I used mark-making tools to create texture with acrylic paints.

My tools are usually found objects or handmade. For this phase, I like to use acrylic paint because it shows up well against the watercolor. These are some examples of my hand-created patterns and textures, all with acrylic paint.

After I create the background, I add shapes from papers I hand color myself.
After working on the best placement of shapes, I glue down the pieces, and I finally add details with black and white inks.
